GSPI Celebrates Key Women Behind Good Samaritan Ministries
As the mother organization that inspired, empowered, and continues to support GSPI in many ways, two key women behind Good Samaritan Ministries headquartered in Oregon are outstanding role models.
Good Samaritan Ministries (GSM) was founded in 1979 by Bettie P. Mitchell (pictured right above), a school teacher. It began in her home as a place where the broken-hearted could come and belong. Through the last 40 years the work has grown to include more than 120 centers around the world, and hundreds of counselors spreading the love of God.
Today, Good Samaritan Ministries is growing under the leadership of Executive Director, Teresa Stroup LCSW (pictured left above). Teresa has touched countless lives as a mental health program manager, counselor, trainer, advocate and program developer. Training and equipping the future generations to serve the world is one of Teresa’s passions, as well as working with the whole family.
Gracious Samaritan Philippines, Inc., gives the highest level of respect and gratitude to these two amazing women, and their tireless efforts on behalf of all who are hurting and in need.
